Teams

Last updated: October 24, 2026

What it does

Use teams to group your members, each team under a manager. Teams lists every team in your organisation.

ColumnWhat it shows
NameThe team’s name
ManagerThe member who manages the team, if any
Created At, Created ByWhen the team was made, and who made it
Updated At, Updated ByWhen it last changed, and who changed it
  • Updated At and Updated By start hidden. Turn them on from Columns and Sort.
  • Create Team opens a form with a Name and a Manager. The Manager is one of the organisation’s members, or the No manager option.
  • A team’s page repeats those details and adds a Members card. The header has Edit, and a More Actions menu with View Audit History, View Bulk Activity and Delete.
  • Hover over the manager on a team’s page to see their card.
  • Add Members opens a panel listing everyone not already in the team, with a checkbox each and a count of how many you have ticked.
  • Selecting a member’s row opens their member page.
  • On the Members card, ticked rows bring up a bar at the top of the list, which offers Remove from Team. Work boards and tasks covers ticking rows.
  • Removing someone from a team does not remove them from the organisation.

Tick rows to delete several teams at once, as Bulk actions on settings lists describes. The Actions menu holds Import and Export, which Importing and exporting taxes, units and teams covers.

The view list at the left of the list’s toolbar holds your saved views under Yours. Views shared with everyone in your organisation are under Shared, with a people icon. On this list, a saved view keeps the search, sort and columns it was saved with. Work boards and tasks covers saved views and selecting rows.

Before you start

  • Reading the list is open to every member. Create Team and Delete need administrator or above.
  • An administrator can edit any team. A team’s manager can edit it once their organisation role reaches team leader.
  • A team’s Name can be up to 100 characters.
  • A team’s name can’t match another team’s name, even where only the capitals differ.
  • Deleting a team asks you to confirm first. You cannot undo it.
  • You can keep up to 50 saved views of your own on each list.
  • Create and Save stay at the top of the page, and leaving with unsaved changes opens Discard Changes, as Creating a contact describes.
  • Save keeps changes someone else made to other fields while you edited. Where you both changed one field, Lucrii asks which to keep. See who else is on a record says more.

How to use it

  1. Open Settings, then Teams under Organisation.
  2. Select Create Team.
  3. Enter a Name, and pick a Manager if you have one in mind.
  4. Select Create.
  5. On the team’s page, select Add Members, tick the people to add, and select Add.

To save a view of your own:

  1. Search, sort and choose the columns the way you want them.
  2. Open the view list at the left of the toolbar, then select Save As New View.
  3. Enter a name for the view and select Save.

Troubleshooting

A manager sees their team without an Edit button. A plain member can be made manager, and a manager below team leader sees the team without an Edit button.

Create Team says “The team was saved, but its manager could not be added to its members. Add them on the team’s page.” It offers Open Team, which goes to the saved team. Select Add Members there to add the manager.
