The contact page, editing and deleting

Last updated: October 24, 2026

What it does

Open a contact’s page to see everything about the contact and to change or delete it.

Part of the pageWhat it shows
HeaderThe name, a type badge, and who created it and when. Select the name to copy it
Details cardThe picture, names, reference, email, phone and default currency
Media cardFiles you attach to the contact
Right-hand columnPrimary Contact on an organisation, or Company on a person, then billing and shipping addresses and the tags. With none set, it says “No primary contact set.” or “No company set.”

In the header:

  • Edit opens the form the contact was created in.
  • More Actions holds View Audit History, View Bulk Activity and Trash.
  • The up and down arrows step through the list you came from, with its filters and sort order. They are unavailable at either end. Audit history and moving between orders describes them.
  • The header shows who else has the page open, and their saves appear as they happen. See who else is on a record says more.

Hermes can update a contact from a sentence. An MCP client can update or delete one through the contact tools.

Before you start

Save stays at the top of the page, and leaving with unsaved changes opens Discard Changes, as Creating a contact describes.

Save keeps changes someone else made to other fields while you edited. Where you both changed one field, Lucrii asks which to keep. See who else is on a record says more.

How to use it

  1. Open a contact from the list.
  2. Select Edit to change its details, then save.
  3. Under More Actions, select View Audit History to open it in a new tab, or Trash to delete the contact.
  4. Confirm in the Delete Contact window.
  • Creating a contact: Add a person or an organisation as a contact, with names, email, phone, currency and two addresses.
  • Tags on a contact: Add free-text tags to a contact, with suggestions from the tags your organisation already uses.
  • Notes on a contact: Keep notes and files about a contact or contact location on its timeline.
  • Audit history on a record: Read a record’s audit page to see who changed what and when, with values before and after.
