Tags and notes on a task
Last updated: October 24, 2026
What it does
Tag a task to find it on a board, and keep notes and files about the work on its timeline.
The Tags card in the sidebar of a task shows its tags.
- Tags are free text. Add a Tag opens a field that suggests tags already used on other tasks as you type.
- Each tag has a cross that removes it. Removing a tag here leaves it on other tasks that have it.
- When you search a board, Lucrii matches tags too. Search for a tag to see the cards that have it.
Notes Timeline at the foot of the task page is the task’s running record.
- Your notes are there beside the entries Lucrii writes, grouped by day.
- A note can have an attached file.
- You can edit or delete a note you wrote from the controls on it.
- The closure note you write when you complete a task goes on the same timeline.
- Notes on a task are for staff only. They have no public and private switch. Notes on an order do.
- Older notes load as you scroll to the end.
Good to know:
- A mention of someone who has left the organisation shows struck through, and so does a tag of a deleted record. Neither opens a page or a card.
- A person who has left also shows struck through in a note’s edited by and deleted by lines. Members and invitations says who counts as having left.
Before you start
- A note or a closure note can be up to 50,000 characters. Notes on a contact says how the count shows. Tags on a contact gives the limits on tags.
- Pictures in a note must be uploaded to Lucrii.
How to use it
- Open a task and find the Tags card in the sidebar.
- Select Add a Tag and type. Pick a suggestion, or press Enter to keep what you typed.
- Select the cross on a tag to remove it.
- Scroll to Notes Timeline and write in the Leave a note box.
- Select Attach File to add a file to the note. Then select Post.
Troubleshooting
The note won’t post and says “Pictures in Note must be uploaded to Lucrii.” Lucrii refuses a picture kept anywhere else. Upload the picture into the note instead.
If Lucrii cannot load notes, the timeline says “Notes could not be loaded.” and offers Retry, as contact notes also do.
