## What it does

The fields around the line items set an order's due date, currency, assignee and who hears about it.

| Field | What it sets |
| --- | --- |
| Payment terms | When payment falls due. The choices are Due on receipt, Due on fulfilment, six day counts and Fixed date. The day counts are Within 7 days, Within 15 days, Within 30 days, Within 45 days, Within 60 days and Within 90 days. Fixed date shows a due-date picker beside it. |
| Currency | The currency the order is priced in. An order in a currency other than your organisation's asks for an exchange rate, and its totals show in both currencies. |
| Order discount | A percentage off the whole order. |
| Expected Date | The day a quote expires or a purchase order is expected to arrive, in your organisation's timezone. A purchase order still Ordered after that day turns Late. |
| Assignee | The team the order belongs to and one person in that team. |
| Watchers | The people who hear about the order. Hover over a watcher's avatar to see their card. |
| Tags | Free-text chips. Use them to group orders your own way. |

Watchers, the assignee and the team get every update: status changes, payments, notes, and reminders when its due date is close or has passed.

## Before you start

- Once money has been recorded against an order, its currency is fixed. You can no longer change it on the edit form.
- Once any line locks, the order's currency and discount are fixed as well, as [Line items](/docs/orders/line-items.md) explains.
- A task or an order can have up to 250 watchers. [Assignees, watchers and status](/docs/boards/tasks-assign-watch.md) says how Lucrii refuses one more.

## How to use it

1. On the order form, set the terms, the currency, the discount and the dates. Do it while creating the order, or edit it later.
2. On the order page, search the Assignee card for a team or a person and assign them.
3. In the Watchers card, select Start Watching to add yourself. Select Stop Watching to take yourself off.
4. In the Tags card, select Add a Tag and type one, or pick a tag your organisation already uses.
5. Select the order number at the top of the page to copy it.

The assignee, team, watchers and tags stay editable for the life of the order, a cancelled order included.

## Troubleshooting

The assignee disappeared after I changed the order's team. Choosing another team in the Assignee card clears the assignee. Search the card again for someone in the new team.

A name on the order is crossed out and does not open. The customer, vendor, team or fulfilment location was deleted, or the assignee's account is deleted or they are no longer a member of the organisation.

The payments add up to a different figure in your currency from the order's total. The figure in your currency is the order's total at the order's exchange rate. That happens when the order is paid in parts or the rate changes later.

You can't add a colleague as a watcher from the order page. The Start Watching button only adds or removes you. Anyone else has to watch the order themselves, or you can add them through the MCP tools.
