An item has a price, tax, unit of measure and stock. | | Locations | Where you hold stock. Every on-hand quantity belongs to one of them. | Each item field has a column. Show or hide most of them from Columns and Sort, beside the search box. Product always shows. Most of the rest start off until you turn them on. | Column | What it shows | | --- | --- | | Product | The item's picture, title and description, or its SKU without one | | Status | Whether it is active, draft or unlisted | | Inventory | The quantity available to sell after open sales orders take what they have reserved, or that it is not tracked | | SKU | Your code for the item | | Barcode | The item's barcode | | Category | Its product category | | Sub Category | Its subcategory | | Vendor | Who you buy the item from | | Vendor SKU | The vendor's code for the item | | Sell Price | What you sell it for | | Compare Price | The higher price you show a discount against | | Cost Per Item | What the item costs you | | Avg Cost Per Item | The average cost paid across purchase orders and opening stock from an item import, None until either arrives | | Tax | The tax rate and its percentage | | Unit | Its unit of measure | | Physical | Whether it is a physical product | | Subscription | Whether it is sold as a subscription | | Shipping Weight | Its shipping weight, with its unit | | Origin Country | Where it ships from | | HS Code | Its shipping Harmonized System code | | Purchase Category | Free text for your purchasing accounts | | Sales Category | Free text for your sales accounts | | Created At | When the row was created | | Created By | Who created it | | Updated At | When it was last changed | | Updated By | Who last changed it | The locations list has Name, Status, Default, Address, SKUs, Stock, Retail Value and Cost Value, plus the same created and updated columns. Ticked rows bring up a bar at the top of the list. [Bulk actions on items and locations](/docs/inventory/bulk-actions.md) lists what it does. The Actions menu beside Create Item holds Import and Export. A saved view keeps the filters, search, sort and columns it was saved with. [Work boards and tasks](/docs/boards/overview.md) covers filters, saved views and selecting rows. ## Before you start | Status | On orders | | --- | --- | | Active | Can go on orders | | Draft | Cannot go on orders | | Unlisted | You can't add it to a new order | - The Actions menu beside Create Item shows for a team leader or above. Export is for a team leader or above. Import is for an administrator or above. - You can keep up to 50 saved views of your own on each list. ## How to use it 1. At the top of the page, select Locations or Items to move between the two lists. 2. Select the view's name at the left of the list's toolbar, then choose a view to narrow the list. 3. Select a row to open that item or location. 4. Step to the row before or after from the header. The up and down arrows step through the list you came from, with its filters and sort order. A list opens on its Active view the first time, then on the view you last used. | List | Views | The search box filters by | | --- | --- | --- | | Items | Active, Draft and Unlisted | Status, Tags, Created, Sell Price, Cost, Vendor, Tax or Unit | | Locations | Active and Archived | Status or Created | Your search, your sort, the filters and the page size are saved in the page's web address. Send that address to someone, and the list opens for them as you left it, apart from which columns you show. Lucrii keeps your columns for your next visit, and a saved view keeps them too. ## Troubleshooting A location is missing from Adjust Stock. It is archived.
